FAQ

Payment

Once you've added your stuff to the shopping cart, simply click "check-out". It will guide you through the rest of the way!

We accept all major credit cards and PayPal.

Sure is! We use Stripe and PayPal for all payments, so we never even see your credit card information. Everything is encrypted and secure, and we never share any of your personal info, because that's super gross.

Having a payment hiccup? No worries! Just send us a line at katherine@lilylionlabyrinth.com and we'll get you sorted out ASAP. You can also use the "Send us a Message" button at the bottom of your screen.

Shipping

We calculate shipping costs based on the weight of your order and where you live.

That's it. You don't pay any extra for handling, just the actual postage rate.

Most items are already in stock and ready to ship. These items ship in 1-3 business days.

Out of stock, made to order, and custom orders take longer. Expect your order to be shipped in 2-4 weeks, but know we're doing our best to get it out ASAP!

From there, it depends on our carrier. Typically this takes an additional 2-5 business days for domestic (USA) orders. International orders can take 1-8 weeks depending on country.

On a deadline? Send us a message via the button at the bottom of your screen, and we'll get back to you. It may be possible to rush your order or you may be able to upgrade your shipping method!

We sure do! There are a few things to be aware of:

  • You are responsible for any additional fees, such as customs and taxes.
  • Shipping takes longer. Expect 1-8 weeks depending on your country. (You can send us a message with your country for a more specific time window using the box at the bottom of the screen).
  • We CANNOT ship bone or fur outside of the United States. Any international orders placed with these items will be cancelled. We CAN ship leather internationally.

With lots of love and care! We want you to feel like you're opening a present when you get your order.

Items are shipped primarily with new materials, but we recycle when appropriate.

We totally won the Egg Drop at our school decades ago - if we can package a raw egg so it survives being dropped from a crane, rest assured your order is in good hands.

We ship via the USPS (United States Postal Service).

First, take a deep breath. It's going to be okay, we've got your back.

Sometimes shipments get delayed due to weather, current events, and holidays.

If your package is late or you're concerned, please contact us at katherine@lilylionlabyrinth.com or use the "Send us a Message" button at the bottom of your screen. We'll look into it and get back to you ASAP.

Return Policy

We want you to be happy with your order!

If you've changed your mind or you don't like what you've ordered, you can return it for a full refund, minus shipping charges. You are responsible for paying return shipping.

Please contact us at katherine@lilylionlabyrinth.com before you send anything back! That way we can know to keep an eye out for it and get your return processed quickly and smoothly.

CUSTOM ORDERS CANNOT BE RETURNED

Accidents happen. While 99% of orders make it safe and sound, sometimes they just don't.

That's okay. We'll fix it.

If your package arrived damaged, please contact us as quickly as possible. Include a photo of the damage to speed up the process. We will work with you on a case-by-case basis to either get you a replacement or refund your order.

About our Products

All handmade products with leather, fur, bone, and horn can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. These items should not be submerged in water.

Try to store these products out of direct sunlight to prevent fading, discoloration, and the material becoming brittle. Also try to avoid extreme temperatures for extended periods of time for the same reasons. (You can totally take your leather journal out with you when it's 110 degrees - just don't leave it in the car!).

Leather products can be moisturized if you feel it necessary. Painted leather doesn't need it at all.

Yes. I do my absolute best to properly label the gemstones I use in my artwork. If something is a faux, like turquoise, it will be stated as such. (Usually dyed howlite or magnesite. The more you know!).

I do use precious gemstones in my work. If something is labelled as a sapphire, then it's sapphire. I often use lower grade precious gemstones because I love their raw look. This also explains how I can offer them at such an affordable price.

We source our fur from a variety of suppliers.

Whenever possible, we avoid directly supporting the fur trade. We do this a few ways:

  • Purchasing remnants and scraps from other artisans that would otherwise be thrown away
  • Re-purposing vintage garments
  • Purchasing industry discards. While potentially linked to the fur trade, these hides did not meet industry standards and would have gone to waste otherwise.

The vast majority of our fur products fall into the first two groups. If you are concerned about the origin of a specific product, please feel free to send us a message via the button at the bottom of your screen for more detailed information.

Similar to our fur, our leather comes from a variety of sources.

Most of our tooling leather, which is used in all of our painted leather products, is purchased directly from a leather supplier.

The majority of our other leathers are remnants from the fashion and upholstery industries. These pieces of leather would be thrown away if artisans like us did not use them.

Most of our suede is re-purposed from vintage garments.

Again, if you're concerned and would like to know more about the origin of a specific product, please let us know using the "send us a message" button at the bottom of your screen.

All animal bones have been ethically sourced. They have either been purchased from collectors or individuals, not a mass-market industry. We make sure the bones we use were either roadkill or found in nature.

Extremely. We have spent over five years developing our method for painting leather by hand, layer upon layer. This ensures that it's super flexible so the pigment moves with the leather instead of cracking.

We have products in use from those five years ago that are still crack-free!

Painted leather finishes are also scratch, scuff, flake, and even water resistant. If the finish does manage to get torn, the paint will not flake off around it.

The finish may eventually fail if mistreated; exposed to extreme temperatures; or weathers a ton of use over an extended period of time. We haven't had this happen yet, but want to include the possibility.

We work very hard to ensure our products are high quality and made to last. This includes using top of the line materials every step of the way.

However, if one of our products sustains some damage over the course of its lifetime, please contact us! Send us some pictures; we may be able to repair it at cost of materials and shipping.

Yes. In accordance with United States law, all artwork was produced by a Native American artist. She is a member of the Cherokee Nation headed in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

No problem! Just click that "send us a message" button at the bottom of the screen, and we'll get back to you ASAP.
